The next few weeks have some incredible and unique opportunities for us Chicago Opponauts to meet up and enjoy some fantastic cars!
This Sunday is the Geneva Concours d'Elegance from 10-2. They're celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911 by making it their featured marque. I've gone the last two years and have seen some amazing and rare cars, including a Stanley Steamer and the Stout Scarab pictured above.
Two weeks after that is the last Supercar Saturday event of the year, and it's taking place at the Bolingbrook Promenade. I know the turn out of amazing cars will be in abundance, and the noise of them all leaving will be equally amazing.
If anyone's interested in meeting up, let's arrange a time and place. I have a few places in mind for both locations.

Wait. . . a concours this weekend. So I do have a reason to go home!

There's a great place to meet right asking the Concours called Graham's 318. They have great coffee and amazing gelato. I'll most likely be wearing this shirt

I shall meet you there. You better be wearing that shirt, otherwise I will look like a fool. Although I make no promises on going to the concours it all depends on what I do when I get home.

I've been to DG a few times. I saw Sunbeam Tigers there for the first time ever. If you're on the south side, Tinley on Tuesdays and Frankfort Thursdays are also good.

I'm on the north side. DG is about as far as I'll go. Traffic just sucks at the time I would need to leave in order to get there and get a good spot.

I am not going to make it sadly, I have business to attend to. Please tell me how it is though because I am going to have to make space next year. I will however be at Supercar Saturday.
